Interior Areas
The Carpenters Arms has two main lounge areas both served
with ample bar space.
The bar area is practical with round wall seating as
well as tables, small stools and bar stools. Central to the character
of the room is a winter wood burner which ensures a very warm welcome
to all, especially in the winter.

Darts are available for playing in the bar. All we ask
is for a small donation to be placed in "The Dog" which is given to charity.
The
lounge area is comfortably carpeted with wood panelled walls and a small
annexed area offers a small degree of privacy. Seating is a mixture of
wall seats, chairs and stools. The lounge is perfect for comfortable relaxation
with friends and colleagues.
Outside Seating and Beer
Garden
We
have a large outside seating area, consisting mainly of grass, with a
large patio area at one end which is lit at night.
There are tables for outside dining or simply to enjoy
a relaxing drink on a summers evening. The area is sheltered from the
wind and is ideal for young children as it is securely fenced and gated.
Walkers with dogs are especially welcome in this area.
Family Room
To
the rear of the premises we have a comfortable family room for use for
our younger customers. The childrens menu is available in this room, particularly
when the weather prevents outside dining. There are video machines installed
here as well as a pin-ball machine to keep older children occupied too.
Large Car Park
We
have ample car parking space to the rear of the building.
Walkers visiting the area are welcome to leave their cars in the car park if they wish
to go walking for a few hours provided they ask at the bar first. Many find our meals and refreshments are
just what they want at the end of a long walk.
Similarly, there are many fine riding routes
nearby. Horse riders are welcome to use the car park to unload their horse
and leave their box behind so they can go for a ride in the nearby countryside.
Horse box owners should telephone first to make sure there is space in the car park as it does sometimes get busy.
There are many circular walking and riding
routes around Dale Abbey. Most are well marked and very picturesque.
