Carpenters Arms Facilities

The Carpenters Arms has two main lounge areas both served with ample bar space.

Public Bar

The bar area is practical with round wall seating as well as tables, small stools and bar stools. Central to the character of the room is a winter wood burner which ensures a very warm welcome to all, especially during the winter. Dogs are welcome in the public bar area provided they are kept on a leash.

Lounge Bar

The lounge area is comfortably carpeted with wood panelled walls and a small annexed area offers a small degree of privacy. Seating is a mixture of wall seats, chairs and stools. The lounge is perfect for comfortable relaxation with friends and colleagues.

The lounge area can often be used to cater for private parties with catering provided by us. The Carpenters Arms is often used for work retirement or promotion events as well as more personal family occasions. Feel free to contact us to discuss your requirements.

Please note that the Lounge and Bar areas are not suitable for under 10's. We provide a Family Room for use by our younger customers.

Beer Garden

We have a large outside seating area, consisting mainly of grass, with a large patio area at one end which is lit at night. There are tables for outside dining or simply to enjoy a relaxing drink on a summers evening. The area is sheltered from the wind and is ideal for young children as it is securely fenced and gated. Walkers with dogs are especially welcome in this area.

Family Room

To the rear of the premises we have a comfortable family room for use for our younger customers. The childrens menu is available in this room, particularly when the weather prevents outside dining. There is a pin-ball machine to keep older children occupied too.

Function or Meeting Room

We have a small private meeting room for hire for group or business meetings, suitable for around 15 people. Food and other refreshments can be provided on request. Contact us for further information.

Parking

There is ample parking to the rear of the building. Walkers visiting the area are welcome to leave their cars in the car park if they wish to go walking for a few hours provided they ask at the bar first. Many find our meals and refreshments are just what they want at the end of a long walk.
