The Carpenters Arms is a country village pub with history and charm situated in the beautiful Derbyshire village of Dale Abbey close to Derby and Ilkeston. The pub has been run by the same family for over 80 years. |
Carpenters Arms Flower AwardsWe work very hard to make sure our hanging baskets and planters show a mixed and highly colourful range of plants and flowers throughout the summer. Our customers often comment on how pleasurable it is to sit outside and enjoy a drink whilst viewing the display. We have been successful in the local council Beautiful Erewash competition for many years. Our successes include the following: 
In 2010 Dale Abbey came second in the East Midlands in Bloom competition - best small village catagory. Our floral decorations played a main part as we are a part of the village community. In 2006 we were awarded a prize for being the Best Overall Establishment in the Ilkeston Pub Watch Awards for Excellence. In 2005, Dale Abbey received a silver award in the East Midlands in Bloom competition - best small village category. We were given a Judge's Award for the quality of our flower displays. In 2003, Dale Abbey came 3rd in The Derbyshire Building Society East Midlands in Bloom competition - best small village catagory. We were given a Judges Award for the quality of our flower displays.
